  1. Nearly 70% of people in an online poll on a UK website said that they would move to live in a different country if they had the opportunity to do so. The EU has long been an attractive destination for immigrants, and there would always be more people coming in than people leaving to live elsewhere, however, with the EU being “in its toughest hour since WW2”, the tide may now be turning. For Europeans, contacting a shipping company and moving their life overseas might now represent their best chance of success for a prosperous future. Related reading – Moving Overseas
  2. Homeowners are continuing to spend large amounts of money on items for their homes. It is thought that the reason for the continued spending on items such as furniture and decorating is due to the fact that people stay home now than in the past. In particular, spending on items for gardens has risen, with sun loungers proving especially popular. It is not only luxury items that are continuing to sell though. Increases in sales of solar panels show that some homeowners are aware of the need to keep an eye on how much money they are spending on energy bills. Related reading – Sun Loungers
  3. Getting children involved with cooking at a young age means that they are more likely to develop a healthy relationship with food as they grow older. Most children would actually welcome the opportunity to help with cooking once or twice a week, so long as the process is fun and not seen as a chore. It can be made more fun by getting them their own apron and by playing their favorite songs in the background. Children should also be encouraged to help with setting the table and washing up afterwards. The earlier they start helping out, the better it is for you and them in the long run. 4. Videos that go viral on the internet have been shown to be one of the best ways for company’s to increase awareness of their brand online. Users of social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are less likely to share links to videos if they feel that the company behind the video has placed too much emphasis on getting their brand’s message across. Getting the content of the video right can be difficult, but it is certainly worth spending time and money on. Done correctly, companies can get millions of visitors to their websites for much less than more traditional forms of marketing. Related reading – Video Production London
  5. Whilst some businesses are dealing with the current economic climate by cutting costs as much as possible, others are seeing it as a time of opportunity. The take up of office space in London has not subsided in the past year. A particular area of growth has been serviced office space, which indicates that although companies want to continue to expand, they also do not generally want to use up their cash reserves on buying new office space outright. That is a wise move as property prices dropped slightly last year and may well do so again in 2012. Related reading – Office Space
